POND VASES
How to set up and care for your pond vase:
Cut a flower stem 2x to 3x longer than the length you would normally use.
Insert the flower into the vase and use the extra length of the stem to stabilize the flower inside the vase. Cut the stem shorter if you need. Fill with water and use your finger to smooth out the water edges to create a seamless pond look.
HOW to Clean:
Fill the pond vase with water and drain. Do this 2-3 times.
To disinfect: Pour vinegar or rubbing alcohol inside the vase, swirl
the vase around several times and drain.
Fill the vase with water one more time and set it upside down
in your sink to thoroughly drain.
TELA & BOLA FOUNTAINS
How to set up and care for your solar bird & pollinator fountain:
HOw to set up your fountain:
first, make sure THE ground is FLAT enough that water will sit level in the fountain base.
Place the fountain base on the level ground, OPtionally using a paver to give it a little extra height or to better showcase the fountain.
Position the pump in the middle of the base, and Fill the base to the brim with water.
Connect the pump to the solar panel and position the panel in the sun. adjust the nozzle to your desired strength using the dial on the pump.
(I like to have the pump going at a gentle gurgle but feel free to set it whatever strength you like. NOte that the more water that splashes outside of the fountain, the quicker it will begin to look empty. This can happen pretty fast, especially if animals are drinking from or bathing in the fountain.)
Once the water is pumping at your desired strength, place the disc and the decorative elements and the sphere on top, feeding the nozzle through them. For the BOla Fountain, place the “rocks” on the disc around the sphere.
*** Do NOT pull or adjust the rubber stopper on the side of the fountain base. It has been sealed with rubber or silicone in order to be water tight.
MAINENTANCE:
Top your fountain off with water every day to keep it looking full.
It is advised to change out the water completely at least once a week by dumping out the Base, rinsing out any bits that have gotten into the fountain, then refilling with fresh water.
About once a month, or if you find that there is algae build up, disconnect the fountain and wash with dish soap and water. Scrub off any algae with a sponge.
If the fountain pump starts to run slowly, you may need to clean out the filter in the pump. Your package will include instructions from the manufacturer on how to do so.
If you experience hard freezes, please clean out and store your fountain inside. Bring back out when the season turns warm.
